YOGA INSTRUCTORS
Shay Whitman Cooper Co-Director of Prana Certified
and registered yoga instructor
Shay began teaching yoga in 1989. Shay is primarily focused on the interdisciplinary study of
many forms of Hatha Yoga: Iyengar, Anusara and Kripalu. She blends these forms together with care,
devotion and humor.
SusanJoy Catandella
Yoga instructor
SusanJoy trained as a gymnast beginning at age two. As part of her gymnastics training,
coaches gave lessons in deep breathing and stretching. When she moved from New York to Massachusetts,
she discovered Ashtanga yoga. She realized the routines practiced in the primary series were the
same as the ones done in her childhood training as a gymnast. SusanJoy has been teaching yoga
since 2003. She has worked throughout the North Shore as a freelance photographer, artist and yoga
teacher. She has taught children’s yoga as well, at various nonprofit organizations and schools,
including an alternative high school where children were recovering from substance abuse.
She instructs adults of all ages in Pilates, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga and Vinyassa flow at different gyms
and yoga studios. SusanJoy is committed to helping others by showing compassion and understanding.
Judy Copp
Certified Professional Level Kripalu yoga instructor
Judy's love for meditation inspires a sacred approach to yoga. She encourages a deep letting go,
awareness of the present and access to the Divine within. This class offers a compassionate retreat
for anyone looking for more peace in body, mind, spirit.
Wendy Decareau
Certified Kripalu yoga instructor
Wendy recently completed her 200 hour teacher training course at Kripalu in Lenox, MA.
She has practiced yoga for four years, and credits Prana Health Center with inspiring her to
further her love of yoga by becoming a certified teacher. Wendy's class is a beginner/gentle
one - incorporating breath work, basic asanas and relaxation. Everyone is welcome.
Alicia Diozzi

Certified Color Me yoga instructor
Alicia's many years as a teacher, dancer and gymnast inform her practice of yoga.
Having taught young people acting, dance and yoga for several years, Alicia is
now sharing her yoga practice with adult students, and is currently pursuing 200 hour
Kripalu certification. Alicia holds a Master's degree in Education and Creative Arts in
Learning from Lesley University.
Michelle Gallant Certified yoga instructor
Michelle weaves her years of bodywork knowledge and experience into her yoga teachings
to provide a safe, practice environment. She draws from the Kripalu tradition to breathe,
relax, feel, watch and allow. Michelle enjoys infusing strength, pranayams and posture
flows while encouraging students toward cultivating the witness within.
Michelle says "Yoga is Life".
Patricia Gilbride Certified Professional Level
Kripalu yoga instructor
Patricia brings to her practice many years of dance technique knowledge and body awareness.
She practices meditation following the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. She teaches a conscious,
nurturing, in-depth, meditative yoga class with. Patricia has completed 500 hours of teacher training
at Kripalu, giving her the distinction of Professional Level Yoga Teacher.

Debra-Jean has been a student and practitioner of Hatha, Power, Bikram and Anusara yoga for almost a decade.
The primary focus of her class is a heart centered and balanced practice.
Daniela Messina Certified Hatha yoga instructor
Daniela has taught basic hatha yoga classes as well as yoga classes for athletes at several fitness centers in the Boston area. Daniela particularly enjoys teaching new students, encouraging them to explore yoga if they have not been exposed to a class before. She loves helping students learn the fundamentals of yoga so that they may enjoy a safe and effective practice. Daniela also enjoys teaching pregnant women yoga to help them embrace the transformational experience of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood.
Sally Millice Certified Kripalu yoga instructor
Sally has achieved the 200 hour teacher training certification level. She is working toward the 500 hour certification with half the curriculum completed. Sally teaches a thorough yoga class complete with breath work, warm-ups, vinyasa flow, balance and strength-building postures and relaxation.
